um... because anet said that the april update will contain "Increases to account-based storage" and "Improvements to character-based storage". that's why they would do it now.
try reading the first post in this thread.

Don't bet on it so much. The update should come when the other updates usually roll in, that is in the 2nd week of the month.

April 1st will be an interesting day though, I can predict people thinking that the April Fool's event will be the promised HoM update and guru will lit up in flames with people QQing to Anet when they get nothing.

Actually, I have a special show lined up for the release of this update and we're just finalizing dates now, but even though they aren't finalized, I have a STRONG feeling its gonna happen on the 4th birthday

Lonesamurai your prob right, it would after all make sense. But then again with Anet you really never know.

I think the 7 heroes discussion is pretty much dead, and I wouldn't expect it in April anyway. However, I've been hoping for them since I found heroes. No player should have to play with henchmen. Ever.

I still think my money is on some sort of armor storage. People have been begging for it for a loooooong time. A general increase in storage is fine though, I'm not giving them diddly squat and they're offering everyone something free of charge. What do I have to complain about? Even if it's only a little bit, I'm happy just having more space to store my junk.

Just like every other day. Anet should have learned by now that you can't please an MMO community no matter how hard you try.

A way to make 7 heroes viable could be to allow them in all of pve except UW/FoW/DoA, that way could still enforce multiplayer activity in those areas like it's supposed to be. But anywhere where you can run H/H it would be very nice to have that option, it's not like you can't just get a 2nd account and run 6 heroes. Good god at very least make the henchmen use all 8 skill slots with anything that resembles a good build. It's stupid how none of the EOTN hench monks don't have any kind of hex removal for example.

Brace for massive over-expectation induced disappointment.

Don't believe anyone is excepting much out of the update other than what was promised. Unlike those that actually believed they'd get a sylvari mini for the 4th year.

I expect just what they said. Just how that will be implemented, I'll wait until April to find out. I've learned to not expect much which sometimes leads to pleasant surprises.

This goes without saying. It happens every time. So much so that it's practically expected. Updates regardless what they are always wind up in a QQ fest.

Want:
Removal of Heroes from PvP (HB not included obviously).
More incentive to actually play PvP (GvG is alive if you have an active enough guild, RA is cancerous... TA and HA are just a joke).
Book storage system, i.e. an extra bag slot for it maybe.
Stacking for items that should initially have stacked (tomes, runes, insignia).
Storage for crafting items improved to hold more than a single stack.
Skill updates that have thought put into them (like March's WoW update).

Expect:
Skill updates for randomly chosen skills, and either remove them from the game or make new overpowered-ness.
A character-based attempt at improving storage that kinda helps but nothing major.
An account-based storage improvement that does something useful like a new tab or stacking fixes.
Hall of Monument changes making people feel warm and fuzzy, and giving even more incentive to grind.
Nothing signifigant related to PvP.

My interest now is in what they will announce for the next content update.

I agree. Expecting big things from Anet is like expecting a deadbeat father to show up on your birthday... too much to ask. I like the artists at any rate, and am glad they can contribute to the game so amazingly. The rest of them that spend their time twiddling with skills for the 10 people that play instead of making content... blow me.

Btw I'll add a nice expectation to my list: information on GW2 (in april even if it's not coming along with the update). I still haven't forgot about Regina saying that they needed the GW2 development to reach a certain point before they could implement the HoM changes in GW1. I assume that anything HoM/GW1 related is one of the least important things to do in the game's development...

But I won't hold my breath.

I think you mean Prophecies or Nightfall. Factions is the first place a hench Monk got a hex removal, as Danika, Sister Tai and Jamei got Blessed Light. Mhenlo in Eye of the North got Deny Hexes.

You're right, for some reason I believed that EOTN had no hex removal whatsoever

One of the upcoming updates will address the leeching problem. Not going to tell you what I suggested but at least we know they are aware and working on it

Thanks for your reply and your understanding on this issue. I cannot divulge what exactly the designers are working on, but as soon as it is ready to be integrated into the game, it will be included in the patch notes. You can to periodically check http://www.guildwars.com/support/gameupdates/ for the latest updates. I can say that what you described (as well as many other ideas) is being considered
